How we do effective climate protection

The first priority is to avoid and reduce our own emissions as much as possible. However, our daily lives and our economy continue to produce greenhouse gases. That’s why additional measures are needed:

Through our educational programs (German), we also spread knowledge about the climate and afforestation.

Calculating impact

To explain the scope of our climate protection measures, we often express impact in tonnes of CO₂. When a donation supports both measures, we add their calculated CO₂ values together.

One metric ton isn’t always the same as another

The retirement of emission allowances and the CO₂ absorption by new forests have different effects and occur over different time periods. We explain our calculations on the respective methodology pages.
